If you are here, you or someone you love has a baby who is one day going to crawl. You may be looking for something to support your little one, or the perfect baby shower gift. In any case, welcome to Grip Baby. My name is Ally Weiss and I am the inventor and Founder of Grip Baby, a product I developed because I needed it for my babies. When my first baby was learning to crawl he was slipping and sliding all over our floors and so I headed on over to the internet to purchase what I thought had to exist. I was shocked when I came up short, so I decided to design and patent the perfect infant crawling support onesie.  

Almost two years later, I am a mother of two who left her big corporate tech job at Google to run Grip Baby. I am self funded. In full transparency, my mother tragically died the night of my wedding (yes, you heard that right) in April of 2023. She is my angel investor. My mom knew I was pursuing Grip Baby, and thought it was a great idea, so when she died I knew I had to pursue a life I was 100% passionate about, and that meant pursuing Grip Baby. I miss you everyday Mom. 

It also meant designing my life so I could spend more time with my children. Mornings with my babies are precious to me, so I spend it with them, then get to work. Our caretaker and my husband have been instrumental in me starting this business. Without them, it would not be possible. Thank you so much Alex and Suyapa, I love you both dearly.

I am not a perfect parent, I have a social account for friends and family where I post photos of them, but will not be using them as models (as perfectly cute as they are) for my brand. At Grip Baby, I am choosing not to show children's faces in marketing. I believe it’s our responsibility to find creative ways to sell products while protecting children's privacy. I will get into that more in another post.
